It’s a wonderful show: Part 2

On November 9 and 10 the Theater Department took center stage for their annual fall play.

‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ follows the life of George Bailey, played by senior Sean Huizing. It takes the audience on an emotional roller coaster as George discovers the true meaning of life.

The cast put on a dazzling production that put the audience in the holiday spirit.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed the production, it’s a classic,” said senior Sarah Baab, who was one of the many students in attendance.

The cast rose to the challenge of taking on such a well-known story. They showcased their talents, as they showed great versatility, from tear-jerking scenes to humorous moments. The audience took notice as they were enthusiastic throughout the show.

“Performing is so much easier when you have such a lively crowd,” said senior Aidan Tobar who played George Bailey’s brother, Harry.

Although it took two months of hard work to put together this production, the cast is heartbroken to see it come to an end. They all came together and bonded in a way that can only be described as a family.

“We are all so frantically working towards the same goal that it creates a stronger community,” said junior Avery Harriger.

That strong connection comes out on stage. Although the play touched on some more serious issues, the cast brought it to life with their passion.

“It looked like such a fun time up there, it makes me want to be a part of it,” Baab said.

If you missed out on being apart of the fall play, there are still opportunities. The Theater Department is putting on their annual musical this spring.
