Girls soccer takes a win

On Friday May 18, the varsity girls soccer team played their rivals, Cedar Springs. Last time the two teams played, the Wildcats won 2-0, giving the team a good feeling going into the game.

The first half was scoreless. It was a battle for the ball. Both teams were making shots in an intense back and forth fight. Going into the second half the girls knew they were going to have to step up if they wanted to win.

Around fifteen minutes into the second half, junior Brenna Musser got a free kick and shot the ball into the top right corner of the goal, putting the Wildcats in the lead 1-0.

Senior Alicia Hall made a close shot five minutes later and scored, putting the score 2-0 with Northview in the lead.

The rest of the game was close. Cedar Springs had a few close calls, but in the end, Northview won with 2 points and Cedar with 0.
