There are at least twenty thrift stores in the Grand Rapids area if not more. Second hand shopping has always been a fun, cheap, eco friendly alternative to shopping in a mall or online. Thrifting can be a fun activity to do with your friends, or maybe you just need some new clothes. Thrifting is a perfect way to develop your own style and keep some money in your pocket.
I have had the best luck thrifting at the Salvation Army stores located on Division Ave and Plainfield Ave. The Salvation Army has the best prices compared to some other places I have been to. I have also secured some lucky finds at various Goodwill stores. Goodwill’s best locations are on 4 Mile RD, and East Beltline Ave.
However, my favorite place to thrift is at the Lost and Found antique mall on 445 Century Ave. This place can be a lot of fun, especially if you are into more vintage clothes. Maybe vintage clothes aren’t your thing but you’re in luck because there are thrift stores that are more up to date on what clothes are trending.
Plato’s Closet is a good place to find some in style clothes. Plato’s Closet is more expensive than other thrift stores because they are very picky about what they accept into their store. You can find Plato’s Closet on East Beltline Ave SE close to where Woodland Mall is.
Depending on your style and what you are looking for there are a wide variety of second hand stores that you will be guaranteed to find something to your liking.
