It has been two months since Makayla Sejat’s Adopt-a-Soldier project shipped the Christmas gifts to Kuwait and Qatar. Many people are overjoyed with the results of Sejat’s project.
Sejat was contacted by Sergeant First Class Free, a good friend of her brother, who thanked her for the efforts of the student body, Free told her how much he “enjoyed watching everyone get excited for their gifts.”
One of the 60 packages that school sent was from Karen Dedert, the mother of one of Sejat’s friends.
Dedert received a thank you card from the mother of the deployed soldier.
It is kind gestures such as these which make people continue make the world a better place.
Sejat hopes to continue running this life changing project for years to come.
