Northview Wildcats had their final game against the Forest Hills Northern Huskies, and just like that, fall football fever came to a close.

Friday, October 24th, the Northview Wildcats faced off against the Forest Hills Northern Huskies at the Wildcat stadium. This game was a chance for both teams to prove their skills, with Northview needing a win to extend their season by making the playoffs. Although the night did not end in victory for the Wildcats, this doesn’t necessarily impact the enjoyment of the night for fans. Friday night games are about far more than football. For just five dollar admission, game attendees are able to socialize with friends, view sports entertainment, and engage in school pride. The Wildcat Stadium offers an array of fantastic concessions and plenty of open space to spend time and create lasting memories with friends and family. Whether spectators are cheering loudly for the Wildcats, catching up with old friends, or making new ones, the lively atmosphere ensures a fun filled night for everyone.

School spirit thrives through the energy of the crowd with cheers amplifying students’ enthusiasm. Senior, Maddee Teunis more than anything loves the liveliness of the game.

“I would probably say all of the cheering and chants. Specifically the ones that the student section makes up,” Teunis said.

The buzz of the crowd creates a unique atmosphere and football creates a sense of belonging. Junior, Izzy AuFrance believes that the energy carries way beyond the field.

“The crowd’s enthusiasm for the game, the people, the positive environment… It makes football very fun, and it’s a really good place,” AuFrance said.

Football creates an environment for shared passion and excitement. Freshman, Max Clapp enjoys the atmosphere of Friday night lights from the energy of cheering fans to the social atmosphere with friends.

“My favorite part is doing all the chants, seeing the players afterwards, being with friends, and watching football,” Clapp said.

The electric energy of the crowd and vibrant environment made it worthwhile to come to Friday night games to support the Wildcats. Though the season is over it already feels as next Spring is fastly approaching so for next season, pack the stands with excitement because it’s the perfect chance to cheer on your team and make unforgettable moments.
