WZZM 13 Sunrise Sidelines, a program where reporters from WZZM 13 visit high schools around west Michigan ahead of football games, visited Northview High School throughout the week of September 23.
Reporters Laura Hartman and James Starks visited the cafeteria on Wednesday. They interviewed students eating lunch with their friends, and enjoyed the school’s food while chatting with senior Ja’Kaurie Kirkland.
The week ended with a pep rally Friday morning. Students got to the gym at 5:45 a.m. and the live television broadcast started at 6. Hartman and Starks interviewed and played games with students and staff while senior Avarie Simpson led the student section in cheers. The pep band played along and ended the morning with the fight song.
Despite the early morning, Northview students and staff were ready to represent.
