Saturday, August 28 the girls swim team hosted the 2021 Northview Invitational, in which nine schools attended the meet.
With a total of 445 points, Northview won the invitational with Grandville trailing behind 122 points. Byron Center placed 3rd behind Grandville.
The girls placed 1st in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:51.08 and the 200-yard free relay at 1:42.61. Both events broke school record times.
As far as individual point setters for the Wildcats go, the underclassman pulled through.
Freshman Lily Lindower and sophomore Addy Forbes both led the way with 37 points.
Lindower was also able to make the state cut in the 50 free with a time of 25.57. Impressive in her first ever high school meet.
Other winning events were Addy Forbes in the 50 back, Jaime Forbes in the 100 free, and Hasten Horling in the 50 breast which was a new school record at 30.91.
The next meet is September 8 at home vs Ludington.
