What sport do you play?

Skiing.

This is my third season competitively.

What motivates you?

Getting better is my biggest motivator because it’s really exciting to see myself grow as an athlete.

What was your best season? Why?

My first year was the most fun because we went to the state meet, but last year I moved from placing in the 50s to placing in the 20s/30s out of a total of 60 racers.

Why did you decide to start playing the sport you do?

My friend, Lizzie Hackett, encouraged me to join.

What is the ultimate goal you can imagine related to your sport?

Qualifying for states is my ultimate goal.

What have been your biggest achievements in athletics?

Earning the most improved skier award two years in a row.

How do you think coaches can be more effective?

Provide more criticism on my form.

What are your main strengths in your sport?

I can quickly make adjustments when instructed.

What do you need to improve?

Thinking and moving my body simultaneously.

What do you like about training?

I love the high intensity of training and being able to see improvement on a specific course.

What do you dislike about training?

It’s really cold, one time one of my toes turned purple after regionals and being outside for about 10 hours.

Who are your biggest inspirations?

Megan Pasche and Lizzie Hackett, former graduates, are my biggest inspirations.
