Myles Bryant: Athlete Q&A

Q: How long have you been playing?

A: Ten years.

Q: What motivates you?

A: The desire to get better so I can place at state.

Q: What was your best season? Why?

A: When I was in 6th grade because I was able to practice with the high school wrestling team.

Q: Why did you decide to start playing the sport you do?

A: As a kid I had nothing else to do, I took a year off [of wrestling] and then got bored and didn’t really do anything. I decided to go back to wrestling since I wrestled for a long period of time beforehand.

Q: What is the ultimate goal you can imagine related to your sport?

A: To get to state.

Q: What have been your biggest achievements in athletics?

A: To place in state before high school ends.

Q: How do you think coaches can be more effective?

A: If they seperate the new and the old wrestlers.

Q: What are your main strengths in your sport?

A: My speed.

Q: What do you need to improve?

A: Blending my moves together.

Q: What do you like about training?

A: It changes your mindset. It breaks you down because you either choose to do really hard stuff or you don’t. When you don’t, you know you’re not getting any better. If you don’t get better someone else is on the stage.

Q: What do you dislike about training?

A: All of the training. Specifically the burden mile. I never want to do that again.

Q: Who are your biggest inspirations?

A: My father, he’s been a big boost for me. He likes to support me with everything I do.
