Athletic trainer Brian Killinger tapes an athlete's wrist to prevent further injury. He received his education for training from Adrian College.

“I love my job,” trainer Brian Killinger said. “The staff and students are both great. They are very welcoming I enjoy helping the kids grow in every possible way”.

Trainers prepare athletes for their games and upcoming events. Killinger is  one of trainers here at Northview.

“On game days, a lot of people need their ankles and wrists taped,” Killinger said.

In addition to pre-game care, he stands on the sidelines for home games to provide medical help to any player, regardless of the team, who needs it.

Killinger started working at the high school once he finished school at Adrian College, where he played baseball while taking classes to become an athletic trainer.

This is Killinger’s first year working at Northview, but the school itself isn’t all that new. He came here because he wanted to help his alma mater, and make an impact here.

“The community is great. The kids are fun to work with,” Killinger said.

His job is to provide healthcare for any injury, prevent any injuries from happening, and also rehab athletes them and he also leads workouts.

“It’s fun to lead workouts I really like pushing these kids further than they thought they could,” Killinger said.

Killinger likes to workout in his free time and he also leads workouts at a workout center.

When Killinger is not working he, is having fun outside.

“I like to hangout with family and friends. I spend time with them outdoors I like camping and going to the beach,” Killinger said.
