For the students who were following the fall athletic season, they’ve most likely heard of freshman Lily Lindower and sophomore Nathan Lindower. The Lindowers are a sibling duo who strive for excellence in their athletic and academic lives.
Lily Lindower is an exceptional varsity swimmer who pushes beyond her limits to be the best she can be. An attribute Lily has that helps her move towards success is her ability to be her own motivator.
Lindower’s swimming career started in fifth grade when her friend convinced her to join the swim team.
“One of my friends from elementary said Lily, you should join the swim community team,” Lily said.
Lily is grateful her friend convinced her to join the swim team because of the people she met and the experiences she learned.
The Lindower legacy doesn’t end there. Sophomore Nathan Lindower, is an athlete who also strives to go above and beyond. Nathan plays football and basketball, but has a deeper passion for football.
“Football is my favorite because I think I’m really good at it and I like the team,” Nathan said.
For Nathan’s future, he will be continuing sports for the rest of high school, but isn’t confident he will play sports in college. However, if a opportunity presents itself, he will take it.
Motivation is key to keep going, for Nathan unlike his sister, his parents give him the motivation he needs to keep going.
“My parents are a good influence for me in sports and for school. My mom always wants me to do good in school,” Nathan said.
Besides them both playing different sports and having different motivations, they’re both quite similar. Nathan and Lily are very competitive athletes who rise to become champions. Their personal lives can get somewhat busy because of the amount of practice and activities they participate in.
“There’s no one telling me to keep going and to get better, it’s mostly just my own voice in my head that wants to be better than the next person,” Lily said.
Great content! Keep up the good work!
