WAVE-ing to the new year

In the month of January, WAVE is planning many opportunities for all high school students.

Sliding into the month of January, the Welcoming And Valuing Everyone (WAVE) club has big plans.

Witnessing Wednesdays-

The first Wednesday of each month, this month being January 5, WAVE is welcoming any students to participate in Witnessing Wednesday.

Witnessing Wednesdays are based around Black Lives Matter protests, located at Rosa Parks Circle from 11:30-12:30. Students must have a parents permission slip to attend.

If you missed the opportunity, Be sure to look out for sign-ups for February.

Crossroads Presentations-

January 11, members of WAVE and others interested are traveling over to Crossroads Middle School to present their diversity presentations. These presentations discuss topics such as mental health, career opportunities, high school struggles and more.

Service Learning Week-

The first week of the second semester, January 17th through the 21st, WAVE is holding service learning week, holding a different volunteer opportunity held by a different organization or club each day.

This week recognizes and honors Martin Luther King day (Monday, January 17th) by coming together as a community and giving back.
