Five dollar Valentine’s gifts

Meijer has recently started to display their Valentine's items. These candy heart plushies are available for people to buy.

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, and finding gifts for loved ones can be simple when they make their interests obvious. However, it’s not so easy being a high schooler with empty wallets.

The following are scavenged gifts that can are accessible in Grand Rapids, costing five dollars or less for those who need a quick, cute present for Valentine’s Day.

At Meijer, there are conversation heart plushies that are only four dollars. The pastel color range of these plushies includes green, pink, blue and purple.

If there’s no interest in Meijer’s conversation heart plushies, there are two-dollar frames and two-dollar heart stickers, for those who would like to decorate the frame. Once the frame is decorated, there’s a heart-shaped insert for any sentimental photo one would like to add.

To keep the decorating train going, rip a piece of paper out of a notebook, grab a pen and write a heartfelt letter. When the letter is finished use heart stickers to decorate the paper.

Last but not least, the easiest and cheapest of them all: grab a phone, and give that person a call. Spoken words often hold more value than written texts.

Valentine’s Day can become stressful when gifts are too expensive. These gifts that are five dollars or less will be cheap and hold meaning behind them, which matters the most.
