How to combat Senioritis

School is hard. Senior students especially can attest to their struggles when trying to stay motivated on their schoolwork. Even the simple act of balancing various life events such as work and sports can begin to feel like a chore. As the semester progresses, a common pattern begins to show in the graduating class. Sweatpants get worn daily, attendance worsens, grades slip and zeros pop up in the grade book. This terrifying event is referred to as “Senioritis” and can be damaging to students’ mental health and academic performance.

However, if a student is diagnosed with “Senioritis”, this isn’t the end of the line for them. Doing certain activities can help improve mental health and get these seniors back on track to finish their last year of high school strong. Listed below are some tips and tricks that can help combat this pattern.
