Japanese Journey

In June 2023, art teacher Tanya Lockwood is taking a group of 40 students on a trip to Japan. The trip is 10 days long and costs $4,800 to attend.

There will be a tour director that will show students different landmarks and help them translate if needed.

Lockwood has always wanted to travel to Japan, and now she can share that experience with other students who want to go as well. She’s also excited to learn about Japanese culture.

“Not everyone will have the opportunity to travel overseas, let alone to Japan. This is one way that allows students and parents to feel comfortable with being abroad,” Lockwood said.

The cost is expensive but there will be fundraising events to help with the cost.

This cost includes both flights, rides on a motorcoach, transportation via bullet train, eight overnight stays in hotels, and daily breakfast and dinner.

Currently, all spots for this trip are full. However, students are encouraged to sign up for the waiting list, as more spots may become available.
