As the first semester comes to a close, the anticipation of graduation for seniors is growing rapidly. Seniors will experience their last memories together as a class in the following months, including their last prom, last student section and last sportseasons.
Many seniors view graduation as a time of nostalgia, but for others, it’s a time of celebration. To incorporate both themes, Northview parents have worked hard to put together a fun night that seniors will never forget.
Thus, the class of 2022 Senior All-Night Party (SANP) was born.
Historically, the SANP takes place directly after graduation. Seniors are given a chance to change their clothes and then are herded onto buses and are taken to an undisclosed location for a night of fun.
Seniors can expect to have a night filled with activities, food and even some raffles to win various prizes provided by companies in the Northview community.
For seniors who think that a night full of activities and socializing might not be for them, Senior All-Night Party Committee member Karen Hyde has a few words of encouragement.
“I think [seniors] should come because this is the last time they’re all going to be together. Sometimes I think seniors don’t realize that once you graduate, you’re not going to have that same group of people ever again,” Hyde said. “It’s going to be a time where you get to see everybody and hang out together with your friends you’ve been with for 12 years.”
A $40 payment payable on nvsanp.com will guarantee a senior’s spot on the bus. Liability forms and waivers with a parent or guardian’s signature are required for participation. Seniors can plan on arriving back at the high school at 6:00 am the day following graduation.
The Senior All-Night Party is an encouraged, but not a required event for students to participate in. It allows for a final night of fun for the class of 2022, before students part ways to start their college or career paths.
“We want the seniors to look back and say they had a fun farewell [at the] Senior All-Night Party from Northview High School,” Hyde said.
