Mid March during the 2019-2020 school year, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer shut down all schools Kindergarten through high school. The initial shutdown was only supposed to last for a few weeks, but as COVID cases grew throughout our state, it slowly stretched to the whole year. School was switched to learning online or through video meetings, like zoom or google meet.

The following year, classes were still mostly online, with students only attending school-in person twice a week, with a few set backs.

This year, Northview is mostly back to “normal.” However, the effects of the past year had a huge impact on students that continues to this day. Recently, a survey was posted online asking students to share their experiences, thoughts, and feelings about their struggles and new wisdom. These are the numbers gathered from that survey.
