Q: How long have you been playing tennis?

A: I started playing during my eighth grade year.

Q: What motivates you?

A: I am motivated by watching better players and trying to improve my own game to their level.

Q:  What was your best season? Why?

A: My best season was my junior year because I led the team with the best record (24-4). I was all-conference in my flight and led the team as captain. 

Q: Why did you decide to start playing tennis?

A: I started playing tennis because my cousin, TJ, is Rockford’s number one singles player, and my dad got me interested in it

Q: What is the ultimate goal you can imagine related to tennis?

A: The ultimate goal for our tennis team was to qualify for states which is very difficult due to other teams in our region.

Q: What have been your biggest achievements in athletics?

A: 2x Season MVP

2x “Wildcat Award”

1x All Conference

4x Tournament Champion

Q: How do you think coaches can be more effective?

A: I think that our coaches can be more effective by getting kids interested in playing high school tennis at a young age.

Q: What are your main strengths in tennis?

A: My first serve, my groundstrokes and offensive shots.

Q: What do you need to improve on?

A: I need to improve my second serve and volleys.

Q: What do you like about training?

A: It gives us the opportunity to improve weaknesses and strengthen our game.

Q: What do you dislike about training?

A: I dislike early season conditioning and indoor workouts when it’s raining.

Q: Who are your biggest inspirations?

A: My biggest inspirations are Jacob Stegman and Matteo Berrettini.
