Meet the music

There are many different opportunities for students hoping to continue their musical studies through high school.

The choir program offers three options for vocal performance and improvement: Concert Choir, Women’s Chorus and Varsity Voices. Concert Choir is open to everyone and helps students develop basic music skills such as sight reading, solfege and more. Women’s Chorus is an audition-only ensemble open only to treble (higher range) voices. Varsity Voices is another audition-only ensemble open to all vocal parts and grades.

The band program offers Marching Band, which is free and open to anyone who wants to play. During the second semester, students who had been in the Marching Band can either be in Concert Band, which is non-audition, or Symphonic Band. Symphonic Band requires an audition and is open to anyone above ninth grade. For those who choose not to march, Concert Band also runs the first semester.

Wind Ensemble runs the entirety of the school year and is open to anyone with an audition. Finally, the Jazz Band is an audition-only small ensemble focusing on jazz music and traveling performances.
